My name is Maralina Henry, Mara for short. I am the owner of Especially For You Home Décor and the operator, I wear many hats in this business!! Which means I personally take care of all of your orders ( with the exception of making the wood products). From the time you place your order, your order is in my hands so there is great care in every detail from creating & making your items to packing your orders!
Especially For you Home Décor is a small home based business. You will find many handcrafted exclusive items here that you won‘t find anywhere else, along with some needful things for all your home decorating needs! Many of the hand made crafts I make with the help of a local artist, she makes all of the wood products. ** see more detail about our products , what is hand made and who makes them further down**
I live in a small country town in the mountains of south central Pennsylvania. I am happily married for 7 yrs. and we are blessed with two beautiful girls, 9 and 7. I am so fortunate and grateful to have the opportunity to own and operate my own website and business and still be able to stay home with my girls, which is very important to us. With that said, this is the reason I got started in this adventure, my girls! The beginning of my adventure: Well, I can’t say that I am a natural when it comes to crafting or that I have always had a special touch in decorating and creating!! I guess it came to me along with the motherly instinct!! Because I started crafting when I became pregnant with my first daughter, simply as a hobby. Then came my second daughter and we made the decision that it was best for me to stay home with them. Well to keep my sanity, I kept my hobby and continued crafting, I also learned how to paint. I continued learning ,reading and researching more about the primitive country style of decorating.
At that time, many of my friends had small children as well, they started having home parties for different companies. So to socialize I would attend many of them. As I started seeing the products from the variety of parties, the idea came to me, why couldn’t I do the same thing but better ~ more of a selection for the country home, high quality products, at affordable prices! And that is how Especially For You Home Décor was born. I chose the name simply for you, so you know it is all ‘especially for you’. I opened the doors to our online store in June 2005. I still continue to grow with the business and learn.
~~ More About Our Products~~ I take great pride in the fact that many of our items are handmade by us and you wont’ find them anywhere else, they are exclusive items to EFYHD. Of course hand crafted items are not the only things you will find. In order to offer you a great selection of home décor and accessories, you will find import items as well. It is impossible to have only hand crafted, made in the USA items, and still have a huge variety. The import items will help you accent your home decor. For example, the berry garlands are a necessity in country decorating and rustic tin & metal our wonderful primitive pieces! So as much as I would love to be able to only have Made in the USA items, I believe that some items are needful things. You would not be able to decorate your homes in the primitive country style without these products.
Hand Crafted Items made by me: Everything in the home fragrance line ; candles, fresheners, potpourri, etc.. I take great care in making every single item. All of our country wood crafts you find at `Especially For You Home Decor` are individually handcrafted by our very own artist ~ The Farmer’s Wife.. She is a very talented artist and professional crafter. She makes all of her pieces from her own patterns and you will only find these items here at http://www.especiallyforyouhomedecor.com.The handmade wood is all offered to be customized to fit your decor. You will find some pieces that she adds a special hand painted touch to such as her berry vine or stars border. She has chosen paints that fit the very popular primitive rustic style of decorating. And if you are not into the primitive rustic look no worries, she will paint it any way you desire ~ you choose ~ it`s `Especially For You`!
~ My personal goal is to offer you a great selection of primitive country décor, high quality products at affordable prices. Everything you will find within our store I would put in my own home, I would not offer it to you if I didn’t think it was of good quality and style. I do a lot of research to make sure that I am offering you a good selection at good prices! That is why if you can’t find something I urge you to let me know so that I can try to get it for you!
